A 50-year-old receptionist at DLF Towers in Delhi’s Jasola area was stabbed to death on Friday night, allegedly after he tried to resist a robbery bid.
The victim was identified as Kanai Malik, a resident of Ali Vihar. No arrests have been made yet. Delhi Police said they haven’t found any eyewitnesses so far, and are trying to ascertain the sequence of events and identity of the accused.
As per police, a PCR call about the incident was made around 9.24 pm Thursday night, after locals found the deceased. They said that an unknown accused brutally stabbed the man and took his phone.
“When we reached the spot, we found that the man had been shifted to the hospital. He had stab wounds and died during the treatment late at night. We called the forensic team and crime team for the investigation,” said Rajesh Deo, DCP (Southeast).
